Dijon 24 Hours
21st-22nd April 2018, Universite de Dijon, France

Congratulations to Richard McChesney who made a last minute decision to travel to France for the Dijon 24 hours, which this year was the French National Championship,
Richard had said beforehand that he wouldn't be 'racing' as such.- he just wanted 24 hours on his feet but would like to cover 100 miles! Not a lot to ask for.....
Taking it easy and staying in 18th place for the first 8 hours, Richard gradually moved up the rankings to 9th place as the heat to its toll on the fast starters... and felt he was doing well until "the wheels fell off" after 17 hours....
Nevertheless, Richard took 5th place with a finishing distance was 170,714km. Not bad after very little training due to an ongoing injury throughout the winter months.

The winner was Christophe Laborie with 191,219km; 2nd place went to Alexandre Forestieri with 188,983km; 3rd place - Alain Gibelli with 177,627km; 4th place Eric Bibrac with 175,095km.
