JOGLE record for Centurion Sharon Gayter

Centurion 1006, Sharon Gayter, has broken the JOGLE:  John O'Groats to Lands End record!
This epic 822 mile performance took Sharon "just" 12 days 11 hours 06 minutes 07 seconds.
Sharon is a well known GB ultra distance runner and indeed running formed part of her plan to break this record previously held by ultra runner Mimi Anderson set in 2008.

Sharon set off from the northern tip of Britain at 07:30 BST on 21 July and finished in the south-west corner at 18:36 on 2 August.
Her time is yet to be verified by Guinness World Records.
Sharon's planned route, which included some off-road sections, was 822 miles - the actual distance she ran will be confirmed only when her GPS tracker is downloaded.
Sharon was supported by an amazing team including many race walkers and Centurions.

Media reporting:
Sharon was interviewed on BBC News Saturday 3rd August and also in Athletics Weekly... so far...!
Sharon took the LEJOG (Lands End  John O'Groats) record from Centurion Sandra Brown in 2006 with 12 days, 16 mins 22 secs.

Note that Centurion Ann Sayer held the walking record  of 13 days and 17 hours.
