2013 Isle of Man

 

Isle of Man 100 miles
National Sports Centre, Douglas
3-4 August 2013

 

This year’s race was the third occasion it was held in the Isle of Man.  The race attracted 95 entries from as far afield as South Africa, America and Nigeria.

Race starters were John Cannell C388, winner of the 100 mile event in 1987, and multiple distance race winner Irene Corlett.

The first three home were:

  • Richard Gerrard (IOM) 18:29:40.
  • Vinny Lynch (IOM) 19:00:51
  • Robbie Callister (IOM) 19:19:45

Out of the 83 walkers who started  35 completed 100 miles within 24 hours and 24 qualified as Centurions for the first time.  They were greeted by the President of the Centurions Ann Sayer C599 at the finish line.  Congratulations to them all.
