Centurion 1911 Archives

Papers  reflecting the history of the Centurions are deposited on loan at the Surrey History Centre,  Woking, GU21 6ND.  Here they are safe, well-cared for and accessible for others interested in our history to see.  The archive consists of a variety of papers:  races (programmes, results, photographs, publicity etc), articles of historical interest and papers relating individual Centurion exploits and achievements.

Centurions are encouraged to visit the Archives: their website is  Surrey History Centre.

To use the collections you will need to present your ID and proof of address such as a driving licence or bank statement.  Holders of a Surrey County Libraries ticket or a County Archive Research Network (CARN) card may use them.

It is advisable to book before you visit Surrey History Centre: Telephone 01483 518737 and quote the Centurions Accession Register number 8923 (Copy of Accession Receipt). The material will then be ready for you to view on arrival.

It is important that Centurion stories are captured as part of our history and archives so if you have material you would liked placed in the archive on your behalf please contact the Hon. Secretary to arrange.  Hard copies and digital are both welcome.
