The Centurions Centenary Dinner
House of Commons, Saturday, 14th May 2011
The Centenary celebration held at the prestigious House of Commons attracted 164 Centurions and guests. Our host and sponsor was Bob Russell MP, well known to race walkers who have taken part in the 100 miles/24 hour races held in Castle Park, Colchester.
Following our established ‘custom and practice’, the youngest Centurion present, Cliffe Royle C148, gave the Loyal Toast. Carl Lawton, our President applauded all our guests and Frans Leitjens, Assistant Secretary C.V.N Netherlands gave a toast to The Centurions.
